Two Slidell Pastors combined their ministries for a Thanksgiving Feast this year. Pastor Greg Trumbach and his wife, Cherie Trumbach, partnered with Ro and Sandria Wright to not only feed their own parishioners but the community as well.
“There is a blessing in divine partnerships. We can get more done for the Kingdom by working together,” said Pastor Greg, Pastor of Christian Fellowship Church in Slidell.
Members from both churches brought dishes and desserts. The fellowship was held at Ohana Outreach Center in Slidell, LA where both churches hold services and monthly community events in the facility.
“It began as a small family buffet for our families but as the word spread it became an open invitation to the whole community at large,” said Ro Wright, Pastor of Metro Assembly of Faith in Slidell, LA.
The members brought turkeys, hams, vegetables, pies, cakes, fruit, snacks for the kids, and every kind of side you can think of. Kids in the Slidell community attend Teen Events on the weekends at Ohana Outreach Center. Volunteers from both ministries help supervise the kids. The youth initiatives at Ohana Pier have united several ministries in the Slidell community including basketball and softball leagues along with various other programs for youth.
The Thanksgiving Fellowship was a continuation of several initiatives these two Pastors have orchestrated to unite Ages, Races, and Faiths in the Slidell Community.
