Matthew 5:8 (NKJV)
Blessed are the pure in heart, For they shall see God.
You aren’t blessed because you portray a Holy lifestyle. If that’s the case none of us would ever be blessed. We all have many sins and temptations. If God only blessed us according to our “Pure” lifestyles, we wouldn’t be blessed. It’s impossible for us to be completely pure. We are fleshly beings. We attract impurity when we don’t even try to.
GOD NEVER ASKED US TO BE PURE. He Knows We Can’t Be. He insists that we be pure in Heart. It means… knowing we will fall along the way, God expects us to at least TRY to be like Him.
Being Righteous Has Nothing To Do With Being Churchy.
Romans 3:10 (NKJV)
As it is written: “There is none righteous, no, not one;
Righteous doesn’t mean I have to wear clothes that cover my body all the way to my ankles. Righteous doesn’t mean I listen to Gospel Music only. Righteous doesn’t mean I have to shout or speak in tongues for it to be evident I believe in God.
There is a difference between being Righteous and being Religious.
The bible clearly states NO MAN IS RIGHTEOUS.
God is the only “RIGHT” being. There is no other totally “RIGHT” or totally PERFECT being besides God.
The suffix “ous” means to have the quality of or to be abounding in.
So, if I’m Righteous it means He simply wants me to be RIGHT with him. It doesn’t mean play Holier than Thou. To give us the opportunity at RIGHTEOUSNESS He gave us Jesus.
The Suffix “Ness” means to be full of.
RIGHTEOUSNESS means to be
Ness: Full Of
Ous: The Qualities of
“To be Full Of The Qualities of God.”
He knows we aren’t perfect but He just wants to see HIS QUALITIES in you.
At times we aren’t very RighteOUS but EVERY MAN has a chance at RighteousNESS!
How can you tell the truly Righteous from those who are putting on?
The truly righteous may mess up but he never stops trying to be better. They who put on fall one time and fall apart.
Proverbs 24:16 (NKJV) 16 For a righteous man may fall seven times And rise again, But the wicked shall fall by calamity.
