Can’t Please Everybody

Personal Growth Rotivation Blogs
When you enjoy making others happy the worst thing you can experience is someone rejecting the kindness you have to offer. If you’re not careful you’ll break your back bending over backwards trying to please other people.
Compassion is a great attribute. The world could be a much better place if more people cared enough about others to bring them a sense of hope. Sometimes, you probably feel like you are giving more to others than you get in return. That feeling is a very discouraging place to be. It’s hard to believe but it’s true… most people don’t consider the feelings of others. You’re one of the few who do.
I remember going to one of those machines in the arcade where you win stuffed animals. You put your quarter in the machine and this large robot looking thing inside with robotic arms stretches it’s limbs out over all the stuffed animals and prizes. Whatever it picks up you win. The thing is, you hardly ever win but it always felt like you were a fingernail away from winning. So, you keep putting quarters in the machine trying to win and most times you still never win anything. The only thing that stops you from putting more quarters in the machine is you realize you don’t have any more quarters to give.
At some point, you have to be smart enough to realize you don’t have any more quarters to give.
You’ve put everything you have into winning a person over but you’re left with nothing to show for it. Don’t sweat it. If you attempt to make 10 people smile but only get 9… those are some good odds. You will never be able to please everybody. For some people, it doesn’t matter what you do… they will always find something wrong.
Remember why we bless others. We are not commissioned to help others to make them like us. We simply do it because God commanded us to bless others. Whether they are appreciative or not, you do what you’re supposed to do. Your praise will come from a much higher place.

John 12:42-43
42 Nevertheless even among the rulers many believed in Him, but because of the Pharisees they did not confess Him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue; 43 for they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.
